Letters To Santa

Gates Recreation and Parks has direct communication with the North Pole. Children who send their letters to Santa in care of Gates Recreation and Parks will receive a personal letter back from Mr. Claus! Please note replies will only be sent to Town of Gates addresses. Aromatherapy/Essential Oils - Gift Making

In this class, participants will be making spa-like gifts. Attendees will choose gift ingredients for lip balm, sugar scrub, linen spray, wool dryer balls and homemade bath salts. Fee will be based on which gifts each participant makes. Fee for materials will vary and be paid directly to instructor. Your instructor will be Bonnie O'Neill, RN."Read More."

Aromatherapy/Essential Oils – Skin Care

This class will focus on natural skin care.  Winter can bring on dry skin because of being indoors more.  The slide presentation and handouts will be about the best essential oils for all skin types.  Learn how to use essential oils to address skin problems such as acne, fungal infections, psoriasis, rosacea and dry skin.  Your instructor will be Bonnie O’Neill, RN. Read More

Get Out and Walk

Community parks are one of the best places to walk offering access to safe routes for physical activity as well as the added benefits of being in nature and the outdoors while you exercise. NRPA Launches I’m a Park and Rec Kid!

The National Recreation and Park Association’s (NRPA), as part of it's 50th Anniversary, is launching the I’m a Park and Rec KidSM campaign — a viral social media campaign asking everyone to share their "Park and Rec Kid" story and challenge others to get out to their local parks and rec and share their own story. Read more.
