Gates Recreation & Parks Department

The enclosed shelters at Lions, Memorial, or Westgate Parks, and the open shelters at Westgate and Wegman Road Park can be reserved by obtaining a permit from the Gates Recreation & Parks Department.

Permits are issued by a lottery system on the second Saturday of the year for February – January for Town of Gates residents. Non-residents must wait one week before applying for a permit.

Our town facilities are monitored during the day by our Park Supervisor and staff and in the evening by a Park Attendant. If you have a park problem or emergency, they can be reached at 746-0191. The park ordinance is strictly enforced. Please do not park on grass or in emergency or fire lanes. Help keep Gates Parks safe and clean.

On evenings when there are no scheduled activities in the parks, the park gates will be closed at dusk.
