Coaching kids. Not too tough, right? Yeah right. Just ask anyone who has tried to coach. The question is no longer, “Should coaches be trained?” but “How should coaches be trained?” The National Youth Sports Coaches Association (NYSCA), a nationally recognized coaches training program, was created in 1981 to help improve out-of-school sports for over 20 million youth under the age of 16 years. The national membership program is open to all volunteer coaches working with children in youth sports. Please bring a pen or pencil to take notes. Please indicate on the registration form the sport in which you wish to be certified. Gregg Goodman, who has certified well over 2000 youth sport coaches, is your clinician for this class.
